NBC2 Educators Conference

On May 24 and 25, 2016, NBC2 is hosting a two-day conference for community college faculty who currently teach or are interested in teaching biomanufacturing. This is a great opportunity to learn how to start a biomanufacturing course or program, update and enhance an existing program and network with educators form across the country.

In the past ten years, NBC2 has developed an extensive suite of curricular materials for biomanufacturing education, including textbooks, lab manuals, virtual laboratory modules, SOPs and many other resources.  NBC2 co-PIs and educational partners use these materials in their own courses and programs and will share how to integrate these materials into your curriculum.  The meeting will also include presentations from industry subject matter experts and trainers on various aspects of the biomanufacturing industry and the importance of a trained and skilled technician workforce.

The Educators Conference will be held at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA. from 8:30 AM-4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 25 with a reception, keynote speaker, and dinner on the evening of May 24.  NBC2 will provide lodging at nearby Normandy Farm Hotel and reimburse all travel-related expenses.  If you are interested in attending, contact Jennifer Imbesi, NBC2 Program Manager, at jimbesi@mc3.edu.
