National Institutes of Health Community College Day, Friday, October 28, 2016, Bethesda, Maryland

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is hosting a Community College Day to provide community college students and faculty an opportunity to visit the NIH campus and to learn about careers and training opportunities in biomedical and health care fields. This event will take place on October 28, 2016 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Natcher Conference Center on the NIH’s campus in Bethesda, Maryland.

The day will feature panel discussions on:

• Research and Non-Research Biomedical Careers
• Health Careers for math, engineering, and computer science majors
• Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine careers
•  

Also featured will be skill sessions on

• Transitioning to 4-year college and university programs
• Resume development and interviewing skills
• Identifying and applying to summer internship programs
• Training opportunities at the NIH
• Community College-NIH Postdoctoral Networking event
